The parish church of Our Lady of Fatima was built in 1981 in a part of town called Borovo naselje. During the war destruction in 1991 the church was destroyed almost to the ground.

At that same place, in 2003, the renovation of the church began. A foundation stone for a new church was taken from the altar of the completely ruined church. The renovation was completed in 2008. The monastery with the rectory was added to the western side of the church and new pastoral center to the east side.

The new parish church is also dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, but with a particular epithet: Our Lady Returnee. Our Lady Returnee, e.g. the statue of Our Lady of Fatima was  brought from Fatima in 1988 by nun Ivana from Đakovo and the statue stood in the church next to the altar. Although the church suffered heavy war damage, the statue remained completely intact under the ruins of the church for almost nine years. After the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube region Engineering Brigade of the Croatian Army were cleaning mined and completely destroyed parish church and in 2000 they found the intact statue of Our Lady of Fatima.
